                 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
                 NO. P-1-98, BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT RESURFACING, TO
                 VULCAN MATERIALS COMPANY, IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE
                 MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000.00).
                
                
                                                    
                
                
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, that there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       award of Contract No. P-1-98, Bituminous Pavement Resurfacing, to 

       Vulcan Materials Company, in the amount of $1,000,000.00.
